Lost my voice

Started as a sore throat , lost my voice, now developed into a chesty cough, blocked nose, my sinuses are killing me, eww, poor me. 

Today I shall quarantine myself and read books and watch DVDs all day. 

Ladyboys sky living

So, I have been watching a documentary called 'ladyboys' on Sky living, after hearing colleagues talking about it, I had to see for myself exactly what it is all about. The Cynic in me really wanted to watch it and see just how masculine the ladyboys were, but whilst watching it, and watching very closely, I have come to the conclusion that some ladyboys are actually more 'woman' than naturally born women. Since first watching it, I have become quite addicted to watching it, and have actually grown to love some of the people on there such as Nok, who despite being a born a boy, she has grown to be extremely successful and is actually a great role model in the sense that she went through quite a lot to fight for what she believed in and what she believed she was - a woman. I admire the fact that she tries to help so many people, she tries to change laws, tries to help those who are struggling. It's admirable. 

This programme has actually intrigued me. I won't lie, some of the ladyboys do actually look still like men, but for those that look very womanly, transgender or who have had the full transformation, you can't not help but watch in awe. The lengths they go to, to be accepted as female, the beauty, the make up, the clothing . . It's crazy to watch and associate them more to women than some women in the world. 

If you have not yet watched it, I think it's just interesting to watch as it teaches you a lot of lessons for life . Every person has their own battles and obstacles in life, they have to go through so much to try and be accepted into society. Whether you agree or not to sex changes, ladyboys etc, that's really not the concern here. I think that people should stop judging , beauty comes in all guises, and what's beautiful to some may be ugly to others. . And that's basically the whole point of this blog. I have watched the show and have seen that even things which at first glance appear so unnatural, they too can be beautiful or hold characteristics that make them beautiful.  Crazy but true. 

I defy anybody to watch it and not feel some emotion toward what some of the main protagonists have been through in their lives.
